As a lifetime resident of the Morgan City area, I would like to commend one of the early (back to the Tandy computer era), computer Geeks of this area: I had purchased a Tandy computer from a local dealer & had accidently corrupted the "Startup disk", which was the only way to bring up a screen in those days. The wait for another “Startup disk” was in the weeks, (I forget how many), but on the off chance that there were other Tandy owners out there, I put a call into “Swap-Shop” to find someone else that had a Tandy & a good Startup disk that I could copy. That's when I met Jim! He gave me a call & sure enough, he was able to come to my rescue!. That's almost 30 years ago & he has been able to reformat drives, repair circuit boards & diagnose everything that I have run into, lo, these many years. One of the most exceptional "Rescues" that I recall, was when I had accidently changed the “Language” on my Windows 95 program. I had all the icons in Greek! That's when I realized; I don't know Greek! Somehow Jim got hold of my predicament & he got the thing back to English! Now, Jim doesn't know any more Greek than I do, but he did know the position of the Icon's on the screen & what they controlled, so he didn't have to read the letters under the Icons! I have had some programs crash; He brought them back from the “dead”, after other sources had failed. I couldn't begin to count the number of family pictures he has restored to disk, or another hard-drive, after the original's were “gone”! He is far and away the best “Geek” I have ever known!
